Bakelyne is a registered home bakery in Ashton-under-Lyne, and our cakes go home to birthdays, weddings, christenings, baby showers, graduations and anniversaries across Tameside — Stalybridge, Dukinfield, Droylsden, Denton and Mossley — and the wider Greater Manchester area. Every order is baked fresh for its date and collected from OL6, boxed so it travels safely.
Whether it's a birthday cake with their name piped on top, a number cake for a big milestone, a bento cake for two or a tiered wedding cake, the process is the same: tell us the occasion and your budget, and we'll design around both — priced honestly against our public price list, with allergens declared before you order. You can even shape the idea yourself in our 3-D cake studio first.
How much does a birthday cake cost?
A 6" celebration cake starts at £45 and serves 8–12; an 8" from £58; two tiers from £115. The final quote depends on the detail in the design — tell us your budget and we'll design to it.
How far ahead should I book a wedding cake?
A couple of months is ideal — it leaves time for a proper consultation and a tasting box before you commit. Celebration cakes are comfortable at two to three weeks, and at short notice it's always worth asking.
Can you make a cake like one I've seen online?
